Many fans argued on Reddit that the show’s core premise has completely run its course, insisting that the only way for Sister Wives to remain relevant beyond Season 21 is for producers to bring in a fresh cast or introduce a dramatic new twist.
They claim that without major changes to the cast or storyline, the reality series should end.
One fan came up with a scenario they believe would give the long-running series a freshm new start.
“IMO, the only way to save the show is for Kody to bring in new younger wives to the new McMansion so that Robyn can finally live the one-house polygamous lifestyle as the OG3 did in Lehi.
Then, the OG3 wives could watch the episodes and make comments and comparisons to their experiences.”
A second Redditor wrote, “I hope season 21 is the end. Nothing can revive the show. However, if TLC still wants to milk it, they should release a few ‘Sister Wives Uncut: What We Didn’t Show You’ episodes.”
They continued, “They have a lot of content that didn’t make it into the show. Not sure how the contracts work, but probably they could do it with minimal pay or none.

A fourth social media fan concluded, “TLC needs to re-evaluate and rebrand or shut it down. I don’t blame the adult children for distancing themselves from the show because it’s an absolute embarrassment the direction the show has went toward. Unfortunately the parents can’t carry the show themselves and the footage clearly shows it.”
